Today I prepared for you a sweet painting from the late XVth century: "Ritratto di giovane donna", by Domenico Ghirlandaio, is a wonderful example of how the portrait depiction is gradually changing towards a more naturalistic and "true" representation, thanks to the example of master Leonardo to whom also
this neutral, dark backgrounds are due. The painting also witnesses the very elegant fashion in use among the bourgeois at that time, if we also consider the very young age of the sitter.
Hope you enjoy it and... don't forget the 10th of December is near! After that date unfortunately I won't be able to ship the paintings in time for Christmas, so don't be late!

Sono rimasti solo due video e solo 4 giorni per approfittare dei miei sconti natalizi!
Per oggi ho preparato un dolce dipinto del tardo XV secolo: "Ritratto di giovane donna", di Domenico Ghirlandaio, è un meraviglioso esempio di come la raffigurazione del ritratto stia gradualmente cambiando verso una raffigurazione più naturalistica e "vera", grazie all'esempio del maestro Leonardo a cui è dovuto anche l'uso di sfondi neutri e scuri. Il dipinto è anche testimone dell'elegantissima moda in uso tra i borghesi dell'epoca, se consideriamo anche la giovanissima età della modella.
Spero vi piaccia e ... non dimenticate che il 10 dicembre è vicino! Dopo quella data, purtroppo, non potrò spedire i dipinti in tempo per Natale, quindi non siate in ritardo!
