I guess it is not. The passion of Vermeer for the East, his turbans and his kimonos, is still visible in this iconic painting. Look better: she is not a simple milkmaid, she is a priestess of the God Milk.

Io credo che non lo sia. La passione di Vermeer per l'Oriente, i suoi turbanti e i suoi kimono, è ancora visibile in questo iconico dipinto. Guardate meglio: non è una semplice lattaia, lei è una sacerdotessa del Dio Latte. Spero che vi piaccia,Massimo.
